TORPEDO SCAD fish (Ikan Cencaru)

Here is Torpedo scad fish dish that I learned from last weekend as well. I was exhausted last weekend, other than learned to bake, I also learned to cook.

Whole day I was in the kitchen, busy learning and preparing. My mum was teasing me.."Please, don't come back in the future, each time you are back, you want to learn to cook this, bake there, make me tired. When I was more stronger, you don't want to learn, now I'm weak, you want to learn this dish, that dish". After my mum's comment, I can't stop laughing the whole day... I think it was funny comment :)

Guess how I replied to my mum..."mum, I'm in the difficult position, I don't want to learn to cook, I got scolded from you, I learn, I also got scolded from you, this is like hamburger, stuck in the middle" hahaha

However, this is one of my favor dish, the dish where my mum cook for me.

The blended chili with garlic was stuffed in the fish stomach and fried together with oil. After fried, serve the fish with the oil and soya source.

Shortbread

Here is the shortbread I learned to bake last weekend. Very excited, it was quite long time I didn't bake.. I guessed that's more than 10 years I has stopped become mummy's assistant in baking.

And I pick up again last weekend, hope I didn't forget much.

Here is the recipe for the shortbread

4oz Butter
2oz Sugar (if you don't like too sweet like me, you may reduce to 1.5oz sugar)
2oz rice flour
4oz wheat flour
a bit of salt

Just couldn't believe I made it and got the compliments from my family members...
In the end, I baked twice in a day.. cause the demand was too high..hahah

Shortbread was my favor cookie when I was young. I remember once, I injured my leg, and every alternate day I needed to go for wound dressing. Each time I went for dressing, I cried very hard, I can't stand with the pain. Mummy found out after few treatments from aunt who took me to the clinic. Therefore, mum baked the shortbread that I love to cheer me up. So, before I went for the dressing, I picked few shortbread and stuff in my pocket before heading to the clinic. While the General Practitioner was handling my wound, I was eating the shortbread. The shortbread was too delicious till I forgot the pain and no cried...And it was too delicious till I forgot to offer to the GP..hahaah...Start from there, each time I went for wound dressing, the shortbread tagged along till I recovered.

It has been more than 15 years mum didn't bake shortbread for me after that. Mum was too busy with so many stuffs. Last year I received shortbread as gift from my friend, when I tasted, I missed the shortbread that my mum baked, I missed so much.

Therefore, this year I bought the shortbread as a Christmas gift present for my mum. I told her, I miss her shortbread, I miss her so much....With this incident, I want to learn how to bake shortbread. Enjoy ya !!!

Worry

I'm a bit down today. I'm not sure what's wrong with it...I guessed, I'm stunned with another news.

Alvin's beloved granny passed away at 8.30pm today. It was long long time I didn't contact him. Guessed what? This is the 4th bad news I received in this month after my AD.

1st, Keat's father in law passed away
2nd, SE's mother passed away
3rd, an aunt from my hometown, where is my mum's friend
4th, Alvin's granny passed away

I'm sad, why? why so many bad news... I scare..terrified with the news...

I don't know how to express my feeling in this blog, I'm not a good writer, my English is not good...and I'm not a blogger as well...

I just feel sad with all the news, I believed all their family members which to celebrate the Christmas and 2009 New Year with them... and they just didn't make it...They are back to God... will they be the stars far away protect to their family, to see their family from top, to continue to love them?
Are they the stars who are observe here and there?

I'm not sure...Hope the angle will be with them in the heaven, stars in heaven

Merry Christmassss and Belly Good

Merry Christmas...Merry Christmas to everybody.

Christmas eve was a rushing day to me. I was working half day, by 2pm I managed to leave the office. Nd picked me up from the train station, we proceed to the shop to do some display and rushed back. By the time I reached home, it was 4pm. We decided to take a short nap before we proceed to the church.

By 6pm, we already reached the church. Our church was having Christmas Eve Celebration. There were performances by the church members and Sunday school children. There were plenty nice food prepared by church members as well. And the church was giving away Christmas presents to all the guests.. Everybody was welcome to attend it.

I was in-charged of usher, and stationed at the welcome counter. I hope I did a good job. Everything was fine and run smoothly. We estimated 500 guests to attend the celebration with us, however, it turned out to be 800 guests. Lucky the food was enough, the program was nice and few of them accepted Jesus as their Christ.

The programmed by 12.30am, after all of us cleaned up the place. Nd and me proceed to another date with a group of friends... We had ice-cream in the midnight and I learned how to play "UNO"...hahah.. I know I was a bit late to pick up this game, hahah.. however, I fall for it. By the time I reached home, it was 2 o'clock in the morning, I was tired.. yet, I was excited!! I was going to open the presents :). Wooo!! Nd bought me a CK's watch...He noticed I don't have watch after I broke my previous watch in last month...So sweet of him :)

Woke up this morning at 10am, after brushed up, we went to Uncle Lawrence's house for Christmas lunch...We stayed and mingled around till 6pm.

We went back home and refreshed up and went to another Christmas dinner with family and friends.

We went to Belly Good.

Nice restaurant where their specialty is pork dishes....pork sausage, pork ribs..I found the meats was tender and nicer compare to beef. And I love the mashed potato, it was delicious... I love it...Check out some photos that I'm going to share.

SE's mum passed away

I received text message from SE this 5.52am this morning. She told me her mum passed away yesterday, she was tired and sad.

When I saw the text message from the phone, I was stunned. I was speechless, I was sad, I was frust, I was sorry for her... I don't know what I shall do.

While I was bathing in the bathroom, I cried...I just can't stop crying. I don't understand why I was so emotion. I looked horrible in front of the mirror, my eyes were red, my nose was red, and how will I went to work with this look.

HB was laughing at me... I guessed he tried to cheer me up... He said I looked like rain deers...cause my nose was very red...

Thank you everyone for the prayers, really appreciated!!

I hope SE's will rest peacefully in God's arm, the angle will take care of her. And I do hope God will comfort SE's and her family.

Pray for my colleague's mum

I got to know my colleague's mum is suffering cancer 3 months ago. Her mum has been suffering cancer since 2 years ago. My colleague -SE is so strong to handle the situation. I never know, she had been hiding her feeling, sadness and etc. I was not aware at all till she told me.

I was surprised to hear the news and amazed the stronger she has. From that day onward, I tried my best to put this item in my prayer list. I know is difficult to get any miracle from this sickness, but I do hope her mum can recover or suffer lesser from this sickness.

She was on emergency leave since Wednesday, heard her mum was not stable. Morning, when I called her again, she told me her mum is in critical situation. In the evening, I rang her up again, she told me they brought her mum back to home.

I feel so sad, I worry her and I don't know how she can handle the situation. I just can't stop shred tears when think her situation, her mum's pain.

I don't know how to extend my help to her. I only managed to sms to my Christian friends requested them to pray for her mum, help her to do her job and pray for her... I really have no idea what I can do, to help her burden, her tiredness, her sadness...

I know is difficult to have miracle, but I do hope miracle will come to help her mum and her.

Last Sunday, went to my friend's house. His neighborer was doing some renovation to the house.

Braised Duck in Balakong

On Saturday, our friend invited us to have lunch at Balakong. We are going to have braised duck, yummy yummy... Normally, you will only get to eat roaster duck, braised duck is something new to me.

I was excited from morning till we reached the place. From town to the place, it took around 1 hours or 45 minutes.

Here is the shop, the food that we ordered.. The braised duck cost USD12. The duck was tender, very nice.... We also ordered Chinese sausages, bean sprout, roaster sweet sauce pork belly and crispy pork.

Raining Monday

It was raining Monday. The whole day, it was raining, non-stop....
I guessed it nice to sleep, cooling weather.
But it was a bit cool for me...guess what? Yup, I got flu...so going to take medicine and sleep later...

Didn't do much.. Just chit-chat with mum, playing with my lovely niece...

Oh well, I did some ironing..so I have cloths to wear for working hahaha..
